ST. COLOMANS-KIRCHE

ST. COLOMANS CHURCH

The baroque Colomanskirche is located near Schwangau in Bavaria. It was built in its present form in the 17th century on a forerunner building erected in honour of St. Koloman. The Irish pilgrim is said to have rested here in the summer of 1012 during his pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Due to its location at the foot of the Schwangau mountains and the proximity to the world-famous Castle Neuschwanstein, the church is one of Bavaria's most famous sights.
